- Goals – Respect others and have fun.
- Sportsmanship – Don’t be a jerk. We are all here to have fun, please don’t ruin that for somebody else.}
- Badges – Badges are to be worn prominently at all times, and are not to be shared or given to others.
- Tournament Scoring – Fill out one score sheet for each game played. Players can play whichever titles they want, with whomever they want. A player’s best score from 4 unique titles will be totaled to create a tournament score. All score sheets must be turned in to an 18DSM Organizer by 6pm on Saturday to be included in the tournament scoring.
- Door Prizes – The 18DSM Champion will have their choice of door prize. The remaining door prizes will be raffled off to 4-day badge holders. Limit one door prize per person. Must be present to win (so you can select your prize). All disputes will be resolved at 18DSM Organizers’ discretion.
- Game Library – Games and poker chips from the 18DSM Library are not to leave the convention area without 18DSM Organizers’ consent. Please find and ask the owner before playing a game not from the 18DSM Library.
- Harassment – Don’t harass hotel staff, guests, or convention attendees. If you’re being harassed, please let an 18DSM Organizer know immediately. If anyone engages in harassing behavior, 18DSM Organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including expulsion without refund.
- Lost Items / Theft – 18DSM Organizers are not responsible for any lost or stolen property.
- Food and Drink – Personal consumables are allowed in the convention area, but please pick-up after yourself. Be respectful of the game owners’ wishes regarding food and drink while playing their games.
- Alcohol and Drugs – Alcohol is allowed in the convention area (unless hotel policy prohibits) in moderate and responsible amounts (as determined by 18DSM Organizers). Anyone found in possession of illegal drugs and/or drug paraphernalia may be expelled from the convention without refund.
- Smoking – In accordance with Hotel Policy and Local Laws, there is no smoking in the convention area.
- Weapons – Attendees are expressly prohibited from carrying weapons and/or weapon replicas in the convention area.
- Health and Safety Precautions – 18DSM will be following CDC and Polk County Health recommendations for indoor public spaces. Exact measures may fluctuate as guidance changes.
